The Aurora University Spartan softball team played a conference doubleheader at Edgewood College Saturday afternoon. The Spartans swept the Eagles with scores of 7-1 and 8-0 (6 innings).

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE 
- The Spartans struck first scoring one run in the 3rd Delilah Aguirre singled in Josephine Lytton.
- Spartan Hannah Tomasko kept the Eagles hitters off balance only allowing two hits through four innings of work.
- In the 5th, the Spartans added two more with Lytton scoring again, this time on a Lexie Rayborn single. Rayborn would later score on a Bryanna Perez sac fly.
- The Spartans opened the game up in the 7th with Faith Biggs' bunt single to score Ally Vogel.
- Next up was Cassidy Rourke who would bring home herself and two others with a 3-run home run.
- The Eagles would score their only run in the 7th.

- Spartan Cassidy Rourke started the scoring in the 2nd inning when she hit her second home run of the day to give the Spartans a 2-0 lead.
- Aguirre singled in the 3rd to bring home Lytton and extend the lead to 3-0.
- The Spartans doubled their lead in the 5th with the big hit in the inning coming from Faith Biggs with her 2-run homerun.
- AU added another pair in the 6th with Brianna Lewis scoring on a Lytton triple, Lytton would then score on a Rayborn single.
- Taylor Shaw completed her shut out retiring the Eagle hitters in order in the 6th.
