Spartans obliterate CUW on their home turf

The Aurora University women's lacrosse team traveled to Concordia University Wisconsin Thursday afternoon. The Spartans were victorious over the Falcons 19-3 with the mercy running clock coming into play in the first-half.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spartan Claire Carlson opened up the scoring for the Spartans less than two minutes into the game.
- AU would score four quick goals five minutes into the game with goals coming from Monique Gibson (2), Ellie Blake, and Margaret Flanagan.
- Jalyn Yaukovitz and Marina Kanner would add two more to bring the Spartan lead to 7-0.
- Spartans Carlson, Gibson, and Flanagan would find the back of the net again to make it 10-0 midway through the first half.
- Just under 13 minutes in the half the Falcons would score their first goal.
- The CUW goal was quickly followed up with two goals from Spartans Yaukovitz and Bailey Simpson.
- CUW would score their second goal of the game with seven minutes remaining in the half.
- Gibson and Yaukovitz would add two more goals for the Spartans before going into half with a 14-2 lead.
- Hannah Martindale, Blake, and Kanner scored for the Spartans on their 3-0 run to open the half. 
- CUW scored their final goal with just under 14 minutes to play.
- Spartans Olivia Matson and Janne Brown would score the final two goals for AU.
- Spartans win 19-3.
