The Spartan baseball team hosted Rockford University Wednesday evening at Schmid Field in Montgomery, Illinois. The Spartans swept the Regents, winning game one 4-3, and game two 17-0 (5 innings, rain shortened)

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS -
- Spartan pitcher Skyler Yamamoto kept the Regent offense off balance, allowing only one hit through the first four innings.
- In the bottom of the 4th, Spartan Nico Bermeo cleared the bases with a 3-run triple. Collin Meinert, Justin Sartori, and Jett Wedekind scored on the triple.
- Spartan Josh Reinhardt singled in the 6th to bring in Meinert again to extend the lead to 4-0.
- The Regents got on the board in the 7th scoring three runs on three hits.

- The Spartans opened up the game in the first with nine runs. Corey Vondra, Jett Wedekind, Dylan White, Collin Meinert, Nico Bermeo, Nick Baldassano, Jacob Ambuel, and Eric Johansen all scored in the inning.
- Spartan pitcher Sam Harvey had a quick second inning to bring the Spartans back in to hit.
- The Spartans scored three more runs on two hits in the second inning. Bermeo had a double and Vondra a triple.
- In the 5th, AU scored 5 more with the help of three errors from Rockford.
