The Aurora University women's lacrosse team hosted Benedictine University Wednesday evening for the first round of the NACC Tournament. The Spartans defeated the Eagles 23-1 to advance to the NACC Tournament Final against Concordia University Chicago on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead with goals from
Danielle Cobbett,
Monique Gibson, and
Jalyn Yaukovitz.
- The Spartans would make it 4-0 seven minutes later when Gibson scored her second goal of the game.
- Midway through the half Spartans
Claire Carlson and Cobbett would add another pair of goals to make it 6-0 Spartans.
- The Spartans rattled off another quick four goals two of them coming from
Marina Kanner, and the other two scored by Gibson and Yaukovitz.
- Benedictine scored their lone goal of the game with four minutes left in the half.
- Spartans
Taylor Sims scored the final goal of the half to send the Spartans into halftime with a 12-1 lead.
- The Spartans came out hot in the second half with three goals in the first five minutes from Carlson and
Ellie Blake.

Emma-Lee Martel scored for the Spartans with 24 minutes left to extend the lead to 16-1.

Kara O'Connell and
Bailey Simpson got in on the scoring action to stretch the lead to 21-1.
- Kanner scored the final goal of the game with three minutes remaining.
