Spartan women win NACC Championship

The Aurora University women's lacrosse team hosted Concordia University Chicago for the NACC Tournament Championship. The Spartans defeated the Cougars 18-3 to win the NACC Tournament, the first in program and NACC history. AU will now move on to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spartan Claire Carlson scored the first two goals of the game to give the Spartans a lead.
- Danielle Cobbett scored at the 24 minute mark to extend the lead.
- With 16 minutes remaining in the first half Spartan Ellie Blake made it a 4-0 game.
- CUC scored their first goal with 11:30 left in the half.
- The Spartans ended the first half on an 8-0 run. Carlson, Monique Gibson, Jalyn Yaukovitz, and Cobbett all scored.
- The Spartans scored three quick goals to start the second half with Carlson scoring two of them and Blake the other.
- CUC scored with 12 minutes remaining to make it 15-2.
- After another CUC goal Monique Gibson score the final two goals of the game.
- Spartans win 18-3.
