The Aurora University men's volleyball team hosted Marian University for their first game in the NACC Tournament Tuesday night. The Spartans beat the Sabres in four sets, 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans used a 5-0 run in the middle of set one with
Carson Wiese serving to distance themselves and take set one 25-21.
- Set two was back and forth, but saw the Sabres edge out the Spartans in the end.
- The Spartans had three aces from
Austin Bayner and
Timothy Breiter to propel them to a 25-20 win in set three. 2-1 set lead Spartans.
- In set four the Spartans jumped out to an early 7-4 lead, leading to a Marian timeout.
- AU came out scoring the next two points on kills from
James Karwin and Justin Elliot to force Marian to call their final timeout.
- From there it was all AU as they would 7-0 run and win the set 25-16 and match 3-1.
