The Aurora University women's volleyball team hosted a non-conference match on Wednesday night in Thornton Gymnasium, cooling off the Firebirds of Carthage College in four sets.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS
- With the score 5-5 in the first set, Addy Gruse scored a kill to give the Spartans their final lead of the set.
- AU would goon to lead 19-12 on a Kaitlyn Beebe kill.
- The Spartans held up against a late Carthage comeback attempt to win 25-22.
- The second set was closely played with the score being tied 19-19. 
- Carthage would win the set, taking six of the final eight points to win 25-21.
- AU dominated the third set, never trailing in the session.
- The Spartans hit .385 while Carthage hit -.029 with AU led by four kills each from Lulu Torres and Sydnei Avery.
- The fourth set played out much like the third set with the Spartans getting an early lead and controlling the score until the final point at 25-18.
- AU led 24-13 before Carthage scored some late points.
- The Spartans won 3-1 in the non-conference match-up.
