The Aurora University men's basketball team returned to the court on Monday evening against Wisconsin Lutheran College. Despite a career high 31 points from Julian Gatewood, AU fell to Wisconsin Lutheran College 90-81.

- The Spartans fell behind 11-2 and called timeout 3:35 into the game.
- With 7:02 left in the first-half, AU trailed 30-19.
- An 8-0 Spartan run with two three's from Julian Gatewood and a layup from JT Daniels pulled the Spartans to down three (30-27) with 5:17 to go.
- Another AU run, this time 9-2 later in the half put the Spartans in the lead 40-39.
- This run was again fueled by Gatewood and Daniels with baskets from Justin Wilson and the go ahead jumper from Nolan Boffman.
- WLC finished the final minute on a 9-0 run though to take a 48-40 lead to halftime.
- The second half saw the teams get up and down the court, trading baskets throughout.
- A 10-4 AU run midway through the second pulled the game to 66-66.
- Julian Gatewood scored eight of his 31 points in this run.
- WLC responded with a couple three-point baskets to push their lead back out to seven with 6:57 to go.
- The Spartans battled strongly in the final five minutes but came up short in the final score, losing 90-81.
