The Aurora University men's basketball team traveled to Rockford, Illinois for their first contest of 2022, but were unable to hang on as they fell to the Regents Tuesday night.

    - The first-half saw the Spartans and Regents trade leads throughout.
    - AU got going offensively with a 21-13 lead with 8:29 left in the opening half.
    - Rockford would start to chip away and led 32-31 going into halftime.
    - A cold streak fell upon the Spartans and Rockford held their lead throughout the second-half. 
    - The Spartans would fall 81-54.
