The Aurora University women's basketball team traveled to Greenville University for a non-conference battle. The Spartans defeated the Panthers in a 74-71 close game on Saturday afternoon.Â

 - The Panthers jumped out to a 9-0 lead quickly in the first quarter.
 - AU battled back and with 2:15 to play, were within two points at 11-9.
 - The Spartans would trail after one quarter 18-15.
 - To start the second quarter, the Panthers went on a 7-0 run to lead 22-15.Â
 - With 2:53 remaining the Spartans took their first lead of the day with a jumper from
Selena Vargas.Â
 - As minutes fell off the clock, the Panthers would go on a run to take the lead 41-32.
 - The third quarter remained tightly played and as time expired, Greenville led 59-53.Â
 - Buckets from

Crystal Rios started the scoring for the Spartans in the fourth.
 - With 4:44 remaining, a jumper by
Gabby Moore gave the AU a one-point lead.Â
 - The Spartans rally began with a 7-0 run and with a 1:17 left on the clock AU lead 72-69.
 - Before the final buzzer,
Sam Barrett scored a jumper and AU was victorious 74-71.Â
