Three goals in the third period helped the Aurora University men's hockey team win their second game in the 2022 FirstLight Shootout 5-2 over Middlebury College on Saturday afternoon.

- The Spartans came out fast against Middlebury, scoring 1:07 into the game on a Jake Code goal.
Adam Keyes had an assist.
- Middlebury tied the game at 4:19 of the first and that would be the score heading to the first intermission,
- AU controlled the second period but would not manage to grab a lead into 1:30 left. Hassan Akl scored with assists from
Clay Keeley and Jaden Condotta.
- Late in the second,
Adam Keyes took a pair of penalties with the short-handed situation carrying over into the third.
- With a man down still 1:12 into the third,
Gio Procopio scored with a helper from
Nate Keeley and AU led 3-1
- MIddlebury would score on the power play with 6:49 left in the contest, cutting the AU lead to 3-2.
- AU would head to the power play 33 seconds later and capitalized on the extra man just over a minute in.
- Keyes tallied the power play goal with assists from
Jack Jaunich and Procopio.
- Jaunich added an empty net goal with 1:14 left in the game.
- AU won 5-2.
