The Aurora University men's hockey team took to the Fox Valley Ice Arena ice as the #3 seed in the first round of the Harris Cup Playoffs on Friday night against #6 Milwaukee School of Engineering. The Spartans defeated the Raiders 6-3.

  - 33 seconds into the first period the Spartans got on the board.
Jack Jaunich scored on assists from
Derrick Budz and
Adam Keyes.
  - Three minutes later,
LA Grissom scored an unassisted tally to give AU a 2-0 lead.Â
  - MSOE scored twice in a little less than three-minute stretch early in the first to tie the Spartans 2-2.Â
  - The remainder of the first period saw a lot of end to end action but neither team was able to take the lead before the first intermission.
  - Midway through the second period the Spartans took a 3-2 lead.
Adam Keyes scored on assists from
Jack Jaunich and
Brendan Blair.
  - Less than a minute later, MSOE answered back with the tying goal.
  - The Spartans took advantage of the power play later in the period.
Gio Procopio scored on assists from
Simon Boyko and
Brayden Sampson.Â
  - AU led 4-3 going into the second intermission.
  - After a major and game misconduct given to a MSOE player,
Simon Boyko scored his first of the night. Keyes and Procopio assisted and AU led 5-3.
  - Less than a minute later,
Larry Jungwirth extended the Spartans lead 6-3 with a power play tally. He was assisted by
Jack Jaunich and
Andrew Lane.Â
  - With 10 minutes left to play, the Raiders were unable to find the back of the AU net and the Spartans won 6-3.
