The Aurora University men's hockey team lost 7-0 to the Raiders of Milwaukee School of Engineering forcing a 20 minute mini game directly after the original scheduled contest. The Spartans defeated the Raiders 2-0 in the mini game to clinch their first semifinal berth in the Harris Cup Playoffs.

RECORDS: Aurora University 18-8-1 overall and 13-7-0-1 in the NCHA; MSOE 12-13-2 overall and 10-9-1 in the NCHA

 
    - AU fell behind MSOE 1-0 as the Raiders scored 3:43 into the contest.
    - MSOE would score a short handed goal 7:39 to take a 2-0 lead. 
    - The visitors added two goals in the second period and led 4-0 going into the third.
    - The Spartans out-shot the Raiders in the second period but couldn't find the back of the MSOE net. 
    - MSOE added three more goals in the third resulting in a 7-0 final score.
    - The Raiders win forced a 20-minute mini game after the originally scheduled contest.
    - Matt Weber put the Spartans up 1-0 a 1:04 into the mini game. He was assisted by Riley Doyon.
    - With a 1:30 left, MSOE pulled their goalie for an extra skater. 
    - Senior Dylan Rauh scored an empty goal to extend the Spartans lead 2-0 with 55 seconds left in the contest.
    -The Spartans would go on to win 2-0 and advance to the semifinals of the Harris Cup Playoffs.

Next action for the Spartan men's hockey team comes on Saturday, February 26 when they travel to the semi-final round of the NCHA Harris Cup playoffs. #3 AU will play at #2 St. Norbert College with puck drop set for 7:00 p.m. in De Pere, Wisconsin.
