The Aurora University men's volleyball team hosted the Sabres of Marian University on Saturday evening. The Spartans out lasted the Sabres in four closely played sets, winning 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-22). Spartan senior setter James Karwin was one kill shy of a triple-double in the match.

- Marian would out score AU 11-4 down the stretch and win the set 25-22.
- AU took a 4-3 lead in the second set and never trailed again. 
- The Spartans would tie the match with a 25-21 set win.
- AU won the set despite hitting just .088 but Marian hit in the negative numbers.
- The third set was a back and forth battle between the two NACC schools.
- The third set saw 13 ties and seven lead changes with AU out lasting Marian 25-23.
- AU led wire to wire in the fourth and deciding set, leading 8-2 early but had some tense moments with the score being down to a one point lead.
- The Spartans would go on to win 25-22 and win the match 3-1.
