The Aurora University men's volleyball team knocked off the Vikings of North Park University in five sets, winning 3-2. AU senior setter James Karwin became the all-time leader in assists in the victory.

- The Spartans trailed early in the opening set but stormed past the hosts and won the opener 25-15.
- AU hit a remarkable .667 in the set with 12 kills and no attack errors.
- The second set saw AU trail 9-2 and eventually fall 25-15.
- The Spartans got off to a much better start in the third set, grabbing a 7-3 lead.
-  On the kill from Thomas Kovanic to put AU up 17-11, the set assist from James Karwin put him in first on the AU all-time list for assists.
-  A pair of aces from Nathan Anderson and a kill from Matthew Nelson put AU up 22-11 and the Spartans would win 25-16.
- The fourth set saw AU lead early but then the teams would go on to match runs and trade leads with AU falling 25-23.
- The fifth and final set had the Spartans go to Thomas Kovanic down the stretch. Kovanic had three huge kills in the Spartans final four points in the 15-11 set win.
- AU won the match 3-2.
