The Aurora University baseball team returned to the diamond after a couple days off on the spring trip in Tucson, Arizona and used crooked numbered big innings to defeat Emerson College 20-6.

- The Spartans took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second with
Jacob Ambuel reaching by a hit by pitch and later scoring on a
Nick Baldassano fielders choice.
- Emerson tied the score in the bottom of the inning behind three singles.
- AU wasted little time in taking back the lead, scoring five times in the third inning.

Dylan White singled and scored on a
Justin Sartori triple with Sartori scoring easily on a
Jett Wedekind blast.
- Later in the inning,
Corey Vondra and Colin Meinert had run scoring singles.
- An Emerson solo home run in the third put AU up 6-2.
- A nine-run fourth followed for the Spartans as they allowed a relief pitcher to walk the first three to face and a
Nico Bermeo sac fly scored Sartori.

Jack Seefeldt followed with a run scoring double,
Nick Baldassano had a two-run single,
Dylan White had a two-run double,  Sartori had a two-run single and Ambuel hit a sac fly to round out the scoring.
- In the inning, AU batted around and faced three different Emerson pitchers.
- Emerson would score three times in the bottom of the fifth to cut the AU lead to 15-5.
- But as had been the case earlier, a crooked number was put up on the scoreboard for the Spartans in the next frame.
- A lead off triple from Meinert got the offense going and later in the inning Seefeldt had a two-run triple and Baldassano a ru scoring double.
- Going to the bottom of the sixth, AU led 20-5.
- Emerson scored a run in the bottom of the seventh but the mercy rule remained.
- AU won 20-6 in seven innings.
