The Aurora University men's lacrosse team got back to winning ways on a cold and windy Saturday at Spartan Athletic Park. AU defeated the visiting Knights of Calvin University 14-2.

Carson Leader got AU on the scoreboard first 2:43 into the game with an assist from
Eli Pangborn.
- A few minutes later, Calvin scored with a man-up to tie the game 1-1.
- Over the next 46:09 of game action, AU would out score Calvin 11-0 with AU goalie
Phillip Gianelle making many fantastic saves.
- The first of the AU goal run came from long-pole
Mason Soucy. Soucy got free on the 10-man ride and lit up the open net from 40 yards away.
- Just eight seconds later after
Ben Strub quickly picked up the ground ball off the face-off and found
Jimmy Gorecki who turned and scored. AU led 3-1.
- The Spartans exploded for seven goals in the second quarter led by Gorecki.
- Gorecki scored three times in 6:30 of action with
Ben Strub also tallying a goal.

Reilan Pura, a
Dylan Lyman man-up goal and
Andrew Bittner rounded out the scoring as AU went to halftime leading 10-1.
- In the third, AU scored the only two goals with a man-up goal from Brody Macdonald and an even strength goal from
Reilan Pura.
- Midway through the fourth with 7:57 left in the game, Calvin scored to break their long scoreless drought.
