The Aurora University Spartan softball team hosted Wheaton College Wednesday afternoon for their season home opener. The Spartans split with Wheaton winning game one 4-2 and losing game two 5-4.

Game Two Score: Wheaton College 5, Aurora University 4

 GAME ONE 
    - Wheaton loaded the bases in the top of the 2nd with one out, but was only able to bring across one to take an early 1-0 lead
    - Jemma Fiehweg reached on an error to start the bottom of the 4^th. Lexi Rayborn would double to center field to score her and tie the game 1-1.
    - Wheaton would retake the lead in the 5^th scoring an unearned run.
    - The Spartans scored three in the 6^th, with Chambers and Richards driving in runs.
    - AU kept Wheaton off the scoreboard and the Spartans won 4-2.

GAME TWO
    - Wheaton would open up the scoring in the 3^rd with a two run homer.
    - AU answered and tied it up in the bottom half with Rayborn's doubled to right center to score Talaga and Lytton.
    - Wheaton would add one in the 3^rd scoring on two hits.
    - In the bottom of the 5^th , Spartan Delilah Aguirre tied the game up with a single to score Fiehweg.
    - Tyler Chambers kept the inning going and singled to right field to score Aguirre to give the Spartans a 4-3 lead. 
    - In the 7^th, Wheaton would score two to retake the lead.
    - The Spartans threatened in the bottom of the 7^th but were unable to push a run across.
