The Aurora University men's volleyball team hosted the Eagles of Edgewood College on Friday night #NACCtion. The Spartans shutdown the Eagles in three quick sets that lasted just 59 minutes.


MATCH SCORE: Aurora University 3, Edgewood College 0 (25-9, 25-19, 25-16)
LOCATION: Aurora, Illinois - Thornton Gymnasium
RECORDS: Aurora University 11-8 overall and 5-2 in the NACC


    - AU took advantage of service aces (three) and Edgewood attack errors to run away with the first set 25-9.
    - John McCormack hit .429 with four kills in the opening set. 
    - The second set was much different as the Spartans and Eagles went back and forth.
    - The Spartans pulled away with a service ace from Kevin Dunn and kills by Martin McKee and Gunner Rodarte to lead 2-0 in the match. 
    - The third set started much like second with back and forth action.
    - AU pulled away with a 6-0 run to lead 13-7.
    - The Spartans maintained their lead throughout the final set and defeated the Eagles 25-16.
    - AU finished the night with 40 kills and hit .387.
