The Aurora University Spartan softball team hosted Elmhurst University for a non-conference doubleheader Sunday afternoon. The Spartans swept the Bluejays, winning game one 8-0 (6 inn) and game two 3-0.

 GAME ONE 
    - The Spartans jumped out early in the first inning with Josephine Lytton and Ashley Talaga coming across to score.
    - AU added two more in the second. Christina Richards scored on a sacrifice fly from Lytton followed by Talaga's single to center field to score Faith Biggs.
    - The Spartans would bring across a pair in the third with Tyler Chambers and Jordan Seyfried driving in runs.
    - With two outs in the bottom of the sixth, a Bluejays error led to two more AU runs to bring the mercy rule into play.
    - Spartan Hannah Tomasko finished her three hit shutout with seven strikeouts and AU won 8-0.

GAME TWO
    - Both teams would go down quiet in the first three innings.
    - The Spartans bats came alive in the third when Christina Richards hit a 2 RBI single to left field to score Jordan Seyfried and Tyler Chambers. 
    - Later in the inning, Josephine Lytton laid a bunt down to score Richards and AU led 3-0.
    - Freshman Rylee Campbell kept the Bluejays bats quiet and nailed down the seventh for a complete game win as AU won 3-0.
