The Aurora University women's lacrosse team hosted the Bruins of George Fox University Wednesday afternoon and were defeated in a non-conference match-up, 9-8.  AU rallied late and had a chance late but came up just shy.

- Trailing 3-0 with 4:59 left in the first, Spartan Jalyn Yaukovitz scored to bring AU down 3-1. 
- After a George Fox goal, Bailey Simpson would score on assist by Margaret Flanagan to make it a 4-2 game.
- The Spartans would cut the lead to 4-3 when Caley Russell scored her first of the day. She was assisted by Bailey Simpson.
- George Fox would add another to lead 5-3 going into halftime. 
- Yaukovitz and Simpson would both score their second of the day to tie the game 5-5 with 12:50 left in the third.
- The Bruins would score two late in the third to take a 7-5 lead.
- With 34 seconds left in the third, Monique Gibson scored to make it a one goal game 7-6.
- Midway through the fourth, George Fox extended their lead to 9-6. 
- Monique Gibson scored twice with 1:31 left in the half to bring the Spartans back within one.
- Unable to score before the final buzzer, the Spartans would fall 9-8
