The Aurora University baseball team traveled to Concordia University Chicago Saturday afternoon for a NACC doubleheader. The Spartans swept the Cougars on the day with scores of 12-10 and 10-7.

GAME ONE
- The Spartans scored in the first frame of the day when
Justin Sartori hit his 8th homerun of the year to put the Spartans up 1-0.
- The Cougars answered with two of their own in the bottom half and then adding one both the 3rd and 4th innings to take a 4-1 lead.
- The AU bats came alive in the 5th when they scored 8 runs with RBIs coming from Sartori,
Jacob Ambuel,
Jack Seefeldt,
Sean Rivera, and
Corey Vondra.
- In the 7th CUC would hit back to back homerun to cut the lead to 9-6.
- A towering 3-run blast off the bat of Ambuel would extend the lead to six in the 8th inning.
- The Cougars scored 4 in the 9th, and would put the tying run on base, but Spartan
Sam Harvey would come in to shut the Cougar threat down and secure the win.
- Spartans win 12-10.

GAME TWO
- The Spartans scratched across one in the first inning again on
Justin Sartori's sacrifice fly to center to score
Corey Vondra.
- In the bottom half the Cougars would hit a solo homerun to tie it up 1-1.
- The Spartans took the lead back in the 3rd when
Nico Bermeo doubled to score Vondra and
Brenden Naylor.
- Sartori was intentionally walked to load the bases in the 7th,
Jett Wedekind would hit a thunderous long home run to give the Spartans a 7-4 lead.
- The Spartans were not done in the 7th.
Dylan White would follow up Wedekind with a solo shot to right center field.
- Naylor would plate another run on a fielder's choice to give the Spartans a 9-4 lead going into the bottom half of the 7th.
- The Cougars scored two in the 7th and one more in the 8th to cut the lead to 9-7.

Dylan White gave the Spartans some insurance on his second homerun, a no-doubter, of the day.
