How it happened
 GAME ONE
- The Spartans fell behind 1-0 in the first when an Eagle walk came around to score on a double.
- AU answered right away scoring five runs on four hits and one Eagle error in the top of the second. A two-run double from Jordan Seyfried got the Spartans scoring started.
- With two outs and leading 2-1, Lexi Rayborn singled to center field to score Faith Biggs and Sammy Martinez. Tyler Chambers kept the inning alive following with a run scoring single.
- That was enough runs for AU starter Hannah Tomasko as she would hold Edgewood to the lone run despite some dicey moments.
- The Spartans added one in the sixth on a two-out RBI single from Fiehweg and AU led 6-1.
- In the fifth, the Spartans would rally on two-outs to push three runs across on three straight hits. Ashley Talaga singled to score Biggs and she was followed by a Rayborn RBI double. Chambers doubled to drive in the one and would bring the mercy rule into play.
- The Spartans would shut the Eagles down with three straight outs for the 9-1 win.
