Spartans victorious in NACC Tourney

The Aurora University men's lacrosse team hosted Milwaukee School of Engineering Wednesday night for the semi-final round of the NACC Tournament. The Spartans defeated the Raiders 10-4 to advance to the NACC Tournament Final against Benedictine University at Spartan Athletic Park on Saturday.

How it happened
- Spartan Brody Macdonald opened up the scoring less than five minutes into the game to put AU up 1-0.
- Andy Trenary followed five minutes later with the man up goal and the Spartans led 2-0 with 5:19 left in the first quarter.
- MSOE got on the board with 3:30 remaining in the first to cut their deficit 2-1.
- Spartans Carson Leader and Zach Bernstein scored back-to-back goals for AU to start the scoring in the second quarter. Both goals were assisted by Reilan Pura.
- The Raiders responded with two goals to cut the lead to one.
- With 3:27 remaining in the half, Spartan Dan Lada joined in on the scoring action to send AU to halftime with a 5-3 lead.
- AU would get three goals to open the third from Jimmy Gorecki, Zach Bernstein, and Reilan Pura.
- The Raiders would score their last goal of the game with 6:49 remaining in the third.
- The Spartans led 9-4 heading into the final quarter.
- Carson Leader would score his second of the day and only tally of the fourth with a man up goal. He was assisted by Reilan Pura
- The Spartans went on to win 10-4 behind a dominating performance in goal from Phillip Gianelle.
