The Aurora University men's basketball returned to Thornton Gymnasium Saturday afternoon for a NACC matchup against the Falcons of Concordia University Wisconsin. The Spartans played another close contest, but were able to come out victorious defeating the Falcons by one at 70-69, getting a game winning layup from Nolan Boffman with eight seconds to play.

- The Spartans opened the game with strong shooting from the field and a Nathan Yockey three gave AU a 9-3 lead and forced a CUW timeout.
- A jumper by Justin Wilson at 9:59 gave AU a 15 point lead, their largest of the half and capped off a 7-0 AU run.
- AU and CUW traded baskets the remaining of the half and with 37 seconds left on the clock, Joevonn McCottry's jumper, his 14th point of the contest, put the Spartans up by seven at 39-32 going into halftime. 
- The Falcons cut the AU lead to two 6:15 into the second half going on a 15-10 run with AU leading 49-47.
- With 13:08 remaining on the clock, the Spartans found themselves behind for the first time of the night. 
- Down seven (61-54) with 8:55 left, the Spartans started an 8-1 run to tie the game on a jumper by Nolan Boffman with under five to play.
- The Falcons led for the next three minutes after going on a 4-0 run (66-62). 
- After a CUW turnover, Joevonn McCottry tied the game at 66-66 with 53 seconds remaining in the half.
- With 41 seconds left, the Spartans retook the lead after a steal and layup by Nolan Boffman.
- CUW answered by hitting a three to go ahead by one (69-68) with 17.8 seconds left.
- After a CUW timeout, Boffman scored his ninth point of the game with seven seconds on the clock to put the Spartans ahead at 70-69, driving into the paint with a pull up jumper.
- With fouls to give, the Spartans fouled CUW, running four seconds off the clock.
- With Three seconds remaining on the clock, AU forced CUW to turn the ball over as time expired and AU won 70-69.
