An overtime goal from Matt Weber lifted the Aurora University men's hockey team to a 5-4 victory at Marian University on Frday night. Weber scored twice in the winning effort.

- AU headed to their second power play of the first period with 12 minutes to play and 1:30 into the extra skater, the Spartan power play unit struck.
- Carson Riddle got the power play tally with assists from Jacob Brockman and Jaden Condotta.
- Just 25 seconds later, the Spartans scored again to go up 2-0.
- Nate Keeley won the face off and found the back of the net off a feed from Brendan Blair.
- AU took the 2-0 lead to the first intermission.
- 4:11 into the second period with four skaters aside, Marian scored to cut the AU lead to 2-1.
- With 6:31 to go in the second, AU regained a two goal lead.
- Matt Weber scored his first of the night with Brockman picking up his second helper of the night and Jake Code also picking up an assist.
- Marian managed to get the AU lead back to one with a goal with 12 seconds left in the second.
- AU led 3-2 going to the third.
- Marian came out firing in the early third period and after an AU penalty, Marian scored a power play go to tie the game 3-3 just 3:09 into the third.
- Midway through the third with 8:41 to play, AU took back the lead 4-3. Gio Procopio scored unassisted.
- With 1:42 left in the game, Marian managed to tie the contest and send it to overtime.
- In the five minute, 3 on 3 overtime session the Spartans were able to generate three shots on net with the fourth, a rebound being the game winner.
- Matt Weber scored the game winning goal in overtime, slamming home his own rebound. Jaden Condotta picked up his second assist of the night on the gwg.
- AU was victorious in overtime 5-4 in the weekend series opener in Fond du Lac.
