Spartans take down Alverno in three sets on Senior Day

The Aurora University women's volleyball team returned home for the first time in over two weeks for weekend Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference matchup against Alverno College. The Spartans beat the Inferno 3-0 (25-13, 25-8, 25-17). Prior to opening serve, AU recognized the senior class of 2023-2024.

How it happened
- The Spartans gained control early with a 4-0 lead and never trailed in the first set winning 25-13.
- AU held Alverno to a negative hitting percentage in the first set.
- The first set also saw Lulu Torres collect seven kills.
- The second set was a bit more lopsided with the Spartans leading by as many as 17.
- AU hit .367 in the second set with seven different Spartans collecting a kill.
- Gillian Hoerman paced the offense with 13 assists in the frame.
- Alverno got out to an early 7-3 lead in the third set, before AU stormed back with nine straight points.
- Kate Dillon led the Spartan offense in the frame with six kills.
- AU took the third set 25-17 to give them a 3-0 match victory.
- Torres finished with 12 kills in the match.
