The Aurora University women's basketball team was on fire from three-point range on opening night, going 16-of-32 including 7-of-11 in the fourth quarter in a 70-52 victory at Augustana College.

- The Spartans utilized an 8-0 run to end the first quarter with five points from Sam Barrett including one three and a three from Ava Barszca to lead 20-15 after 10 minutes.
- Gabrielle Wolff continued the three-ball barrage to start the second with back-to-back makes and AU led 26-19.
- A pair of three's to finish the second from Kamryn Bullock and Kylie Fischbach sent AU to the halftime break leading Augustana 36-25.
- The AU lead shrunk in the third but the Spartans held firm to lead 43-37 after 30 minutes of game action.
- A 17-4 run for the Spartans opened up the fourth quarter and put the game to bed.
- Five three's were sunk in the run with four coming from Macy Kocen.
- With 6:35 left in the game, AU led 60-41.
- After Augustana cut the AU lead down to 11, Selena Vargas knocked four free throws and Sam Barrett drained the seventh three of the quarter for the Spartans to push the lead back up to 18 and the final score of 70-52.
