The Aurora University men's basketball team had a battle on their hands with the visiting Raiders of Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday night. AU held off the strong shooting effort from the visitors tto defeat MSOE 86-78. Dwayne Jervier, Jr. had a double-double of 10 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

- The Spartans trailed early 8-2 but an 18-4 run fueled by the shooting of
Isaiah Davis,
Joevonn McCottry and Dwayne Jervier, Jr put AU ahead 20-12 with 13:12 to go in the first-half.
- MSOE battled back into the contest with strong three-point shooting and with 6:35 left, the game was tied 30-30.
- After MSOE went up 37-32, an and-one from McCottry and a three-ball from
Michael Osborne put AU ahead 38-37.
- The teams headed to the halftime break with MSOE leading the Spartans 42-40.
- More three-point shooting from MSOE saw AU trail by nine at 52-43 just 2:30 into the second-half.
- Both teams had small scoring runs with AU continuing to trail 59-52 with just under 14 minutes on the clock.
- A lay-up from
Josh Holmes with 11:23 in the game saw AU regain the lead 61-59.
- A three from Osborne with 5:29 to play was the lead that the Spartans would not relinquish.
- AU picked up the tempo on the defensive end of the court and converted free-throws down the stretch.
- The Spartans went eight-of-eight from the free-throw line in the final minute to win 86-78.
