Second-half comeback leads to road NACC win

A strong second-half shooting performance fueled a come from behind win for the Aurora University women's basketball team on Wednesday night at Milwaukee School of Engineering. AU would defeat MSOE 67-61.

How it happened
- The Spartans had a slow start from the field in the first quarter but were able to keep the game within striking distance, trailing 18-14 after one.
- AU cut the deficit to one on two occasions in the second on a three from Sam Barrett and basket from Eliot Dojutrek.
- The Spartans trailed going to halftime, 32-26.
- Early in the third, Macy Kocen drained back to back threes and tied the game 34-34.
- AU led for the first time in the game with 4:32 to play after a three from Gabrielle Wolff.
- A 7-2 run from MSOE finished the third and AU trailed 46-42.
- Down three with 5:18 left in the fourth, AU called a timeout down three at 54-51.
- Coming out of the timeout, Crystal Rios drained a three to tie the game and start a 12-2 Spartan run.
- Rios scored five points with four from Sam Barrett and a three from Macy Kocen in the run.
- With 2:14 to go, AU led by seven, 63-56.
- The Spartans went five-of-six from the free throw line down the stretch to seal the win, 67-61.
