The Aurora University men's hockey team took to the road for a contest between nationally ranked Northern Collegiate Hockey Association foes at Adrian College. The #7 Spartans fell to the #3 Bulldogs 8-4.

- The Spartans got on the board first, midway through the first period.
Lukas Sedlacek found the back of the Bulldog net on assists from Jack Onstott and
Brendan Blair.
- Adrian tied the game four minutes after the Spartans took the 1-0 lead.
- With a 1:58 left in the first period,
Jack Jaunich scored an even strength tally to give the Spartans a 2-1 lead.
Clay Keeley and
Derrick Budz recorded the assists.
- Once again the Bulldogs responded with 40 seconds left on the clock. AU and Adrian headed into the first intermission tied 2-2.
- To open the second period, Adrian took the lead with a power play tally.
- A minute later the Spartans found themselves with the power play advantage and
Juliano Santalucia got the equalizer.

Adam Keyes assisted and AU and Adrian were tied 3-3 with 13:01 left on the clock.
- As minutes fell off the clock, Adrian would score twice to take a 5-3 lead going into the second intermission. The second period saw a combined seven penalties.
- The Spartans allowed two goals in the first half of the third period and Adrian led 7-3 with less than 10 minutes remaining.
- With 2:52, Spartan

- Adrian would add one more with 54 seconds left and the Spartans fell 8-4.
