The Aurora University men's basketball took to the road for a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference matchup with Rockford University, falling at the Regents 86-81.

- The game started off with a pair of runs, first from Rockford who led 15-6 and then AU answered with an 8-0 run of their own.
- Four different Spartans scored in the run.
- And again, Rockford ran back out to a 10 point lead with the Spartans answering right back with a 10-0 run to tie the game 30-30 with 4:13 left in the first.

Nolan Boffman steal and layup with just over a minute left gave AU a three point advantage at 39-36.
- Rockford finished the half scoring four points and led AU going to half 40-39.
- The second half saw the Spartans and Regents go blow for blow with baskets being traded back and forth.
- The lead traded hands six different times and was tied several more times.
- A late Regent run proved to be to much for the Spartans to overcome.
- AU would fall to Rockford 86-81.
