The Aurora University men's lacrosse team fell in a non-conference clash with the North Central College Cardinals, losing 13-12 in a tightly played contest.

- The Spartans roared out to a 3-0 lead with
Ben Strub and
Luke Hill scoring just six seconds a part early in the first.

Carson Leader scored the third goal on an assist from
Owen Spencer.
- AU led 3-1 after the first 15 minutes of action.
- Strub scored his second of the night early in the second quarter but NCC managed to tie the score 4-4 with 10:25 to play in the first-half.
- Goals from
Chris Bucci and a hat trick goal from Strub put AU back ahead by two at 6-4 midway through the second.
- After NCC tied the game again 6-6. the Spartans struck late.

Carson Leader gave AU the 8-6 lead which they carried into halftime.

- NCC scored the next three times for once again pull even 9-9 midway through the third.
- Strub and Leader scored around a NCC tally to give the Spartans the 11-10 lead heading to the fourth.
- With10:08 led in the game, Strub scored his fifth of the night and AU led 12-10.
- NCC scored the games final three goals including the game winner with 1:41 left.
