Cold Shooting Night Downs Spartans On The Road

The Aurora University women's basketball team traveled to Wisconsin Lutheran College for a Wednesday night NACC battle. Despite a 23-point night from Eliot Dojutrek, the Spartans suffered their fifth loss of the season, falling to the Warriors 65-56.

How it happened
- Eliot Dojutrek netted the first five points for the Spartans who found themselves down 14-5 through eight minutes of action.
- A Kamryn Bullock three-pointer cut the Spartan deficit to 14-8 which would hold until the end of the first quarter.
- Back-to-back three-pointers from Sam Barrett and Gabrielle Wolff put AU within three to start the second quarter.
- A finish from Dojutrek with 2:16 to go in the first half gave AU its first lead at 25-23.
- Dojutrek converted a three-point play in the final seconds of the second quarter to give the Spartans their largest lead of the game at 31-25.
- AU shot 58% in the second and outscored the hosts 23-11 in the frame.
- Dojutrek led all scorers at the half with 15 points.
- About halfway through the third quarter, Wolff finished at the rim allowing AU to retake a 39-38 lead.
- Each team went scoreless in the last two minutes of the frame as the Spartans found themselves down 45-41 going into the fourth quarter.
- With 4:17 left, Wolff nailed a three to put AU within one possession at 53-50.
- This was as close as the Spartans would get before falling to the Warriors 65-56.
- Dojutrek led all scorers in the game with 23 points.
- Kylie Fischbach finished with two steals for AU.
