How it happened
- The Sabres found themselves in penalty trouble early as AU had a couple of chances to score with a 5v4 power play in the first period, but were unable to find the back of the net.

- The second period opened up with a flurry of goals from the Spartans.

- Only 10 seconds later, Jakson Kirk lit the lamp for his team leading 11th goal of the season. Chayce Schmidt and Tyler Pang were on the assisting end this time.
- Giovanni Procopio decided to get in on the scoring fun just a minute later. Jackson Hay made a sweet dish to Dekowny for a one timer, before Procopio was there for the rebound to give the Spartans a 4-0 lead.
