The Aurora University women's hockey team picked up their third straight victory when they hit the ice against the Sabres of Marian University on Friday night. The Spartans used three goals in the third period on the way to the 4-1 road win.

- The first 37 seconds of action saw AU on a 5v4 power play, but the Spartans were unable to convert after a penalty of their own.
- Each side went scoreless after the opening 20 minutes.
- About halfway through the second period, Marian scored the game's first goal.
- Darci Matson secured the equalizer as she struck for a power play goal with under two minutes left in the second period. She was set up by Stephanie Schmunk and Molly Matson.
- AU didn't waste much time taking the lead early in the third period, as Madison Gasper and M. Matson assisted Teagan Moffat to put the Spartans in front 2-1.
- Samira Schmidt netted her third goal of the season off a dish from Olivia Buzzelli. This gave AU a 3-1 lead with under five minutes to go.
- Just 13 seconds into a 5v4 power play, Molly Matson found the back of the net with Erin Campbell and D. Matson on the assisting end this time.
- This gave AU the 4-1 victory over the Sabres.
- The Spartans out-shot the hosts 22-3 in the final period.
