The Aurora University women's basketball team led for nearly the entire game but had to claw their way to a 72-64 victory over the visiting Falcons of Concordia University Wisconsin on Wednesday night on Lancaster Court in Thornton Gymnasium.

- The first quarter was closely played with both teams exchanging leads. A
Kylie Fischbach put-back gave the Spartans the lead for the final time in the game with 1:12 left.

Riley Doggett drained the third Spartan three of the first quarter late in the frame to put AU ahead 18-14 after 10 minutes.

Kamryn Bullock opened the second quarter with a three and after a CUW three, their only of the game, Fischbach drained a three to give AU a 24-17 lead.
- After a pair of
Eliot Dojutrek free throws, AU led 28-19 but CUW would respond with a 7-0 run to cut the AU lead to two at 28-26.
- The Spartans again built back the lead to seven behind a 5-0 run from
Macy Kocen.
- CUW got within one with 17 seconds left but a layup and free-throw from
Gabrielle Wolff sent AU to halftime up four at 38-34.
- Midway through the third quarter, back to back three's from Doggett and Fischbach gave the Spartans their largest lead to that point at 10 (52-42) with 3:32 left.
- The Spartans ended the third quarter just like they finished the second with an and-one. This time from Dojutrek and AU led 56-49 after three quarters.
- CUW opened the fourth by cutting the Spartan lead to three but AU answered, building a 10-point lead with 6:12 left in the game.
- The Spartans mantained their comfortable lead for the remainder of the game and won 72-64.
