The Aurora University women's basketball team hit the court in Thorton Gymnasium for the first time in the 2024-2025 campaign, with the Spartans looking to remain unbeaten on the young season. Krystana Manzanarez collected all of her team leading 18 points in the second half to lead a balanced Spartan offensive attack to the 83-63 victory on Wednesday evening.

- AU came out firing, opening the game on an 11-2 scoring run.
- Five different Spartans collected their first points in the scoring run.
- This allowed AU to get out to the early 13-8 lead after the first quarter of play.

Eliot Dojutrek netted the first four points for the Spartans.
- About halfway through the second, the Spartans held a 20-18 lead.

Riley Doggett in the final five minutes of the second frame helped give AU a 32-28 lead going into the halftime break.
- AU forced the Cardinals into shooting just 36% from the field in the first half, as NCC finished 0-7 from behind the arc in that span as well.
- The Spartans bench also outscored NCC's 12-2 in the first half.
- Kylie Fischback knocked down a couple of three's early in the second half to keep the Spartans ahead 44-37 with seven minutes to go in the third quarter.

- AU opened the fourth on a 9-0 run as Manzanarez continued to get to the rim.
