The Aurora University men's hockey team used an overtime goal from
Lukas Sedlacek to complete the sweep of Lake Forest this weekend with a 5-4 victory in overtime on Saturday night at Fox Valley Ice Arena.

- AU killed off a five minute power play in the middle of the first period to keep the Foresters scoreless early.
- The Spartans secured a 5 v 4 power play of their own with less than a minute to go in the first, and took advantage early in the second when
Mathis Bedard lit the lamp.
- Bedard's unassisted goal gave AU the 1-0 lead early in the second.
- Exactly a minute after Bedard's strike, the Spartans secured another power play and scored again just 45 seconds on the attack to make it 2-0.

Lukas Sedlacek sniped one that was saved by the Lake Forest goalie, but
Hassan Akl was there for the rebound and score.
Jakson Kirk was also credited with an assist on the play.
- At 5:08 in the second, LFC scored to make it 2-1.
- The Spartans struck again on the power play later in the second frame when
Juliano Santalucia and
Chase Broda teamed up to find
Matt Weber for the goal.
- Less than three minutes later, AU scored their fourth goal of the period as
Rhett Evjen found the back of the net.
Jackson Hay sniped one towards the net that found Evjen for the 4-1 Spartan lead.
- The Foresters later scored to make it 4-2 heading into the final period.
- Two more goals from LFC in the third period sent the game into overtime.
- Just over a minute into the overtime period, Hay and Santalucia teamed up to find Sedlacek for the game winning goal.
- This gave AU the 5-4 victory.
