The Aurora University women's basketball team shot 73.3% from the field in the fourth quarter while scoring 36 of the 98 on the day as the Spartans defeated Marian University 98-71.

- AU got off to a slow start after the opening tip and trailed 4-0 and midway through the first were down 14-9.
- A 6-0 run from
Jennifer Heinberg with an and-one and a three-pointer gave the Spartans their first lead at 15-14 with 2:30 left in the first.
- Heinberg and Danielle Antione drained three's in the final minute of the first to give AU a 23-20 lead after the opening 10 minutes.
- The Spartans picked up the intensity on the defensive end of the court and led 38-28 with just over four minutes left in the first-half.
- Leading by five at 38-33 with 3:25 remaining, the Spartans finished the half with an 11-0 run.

Riley Doggett had seven of the 11 points in the run as AU led 49-33 going to halftime.
- The winter chill found its way to the Spartans in the third with AU going 4-of-14 from the field while Marian cut the Spartan lead down to as little as three.
- A Doggett put back in the final seconds gave AU a 62-57 lead going to the fourth.
- As cold as the Spartans were in the third, they were the complete opposite in the fourth.
- AU would go 11-of-15 from the field including 6-of-9 from three and adding 8-of-9 from the charity stripe.
