The Aurora University men's volleyball team took to the court for the first tri-match of the 2024 season at Illinois Wesleyan University. The Spartans dropped the opener 3-0 to the host Titans before notching the first win of the 2024 season with a 3-1 victory over Trine University.

- The opening set was back and forth until the final point with AU dropping a heart-breaker 26-24.
- Team stats in the opener were nearly identical and
Sebastian Ciszewski led AU with four kills.
- AU would drop the second set 25-18 and the third 25-15 to fall in the match 3-0.
MATCH TWO
- AU dropped the first set 25-21 despite having a 14 to 8 kill advantage.
- The second set saw seven tie scores and five lead changes but it was the Spartans who led last scoring six of the final nine points to win 25-22.

- AU had to overcome a large early deficit but rallied from down by five on multiple occasions to grab the final lead change with a 23-22 score.
- A kill from Ciszewski and an ace from
Derek Schober closed out the set with a 25-22 win and a 3-1 match victory.
