The Aurora University men's hockey team hosted Lake Forest College for their last home game of the 2023-2024 season before beginning the NCHA conference tournament. The Spartans fell to the visitors by a score of 6-2 on Friday afternoon.

- Lake Forest scored the first goal of the game on a 5v4 power play with 9:53 go in the first period.
- Right before the end of the frame, the Foresters  added another handing AU an early 2-0 deficit.
- Each side put 18 shots up in the first period.
- The Spartans didn't waste much time cutting into the lead as Jakson Kirk netted an even strength goal just three minutes into the second.
- Chayce Schmidt and Lukas Sedlacek picked up the assists on Kirk's team leading 13th goal of the season.
- AU had more opportunities to level the score on the power play attack before the end of the second, but were unable to do so.
- The Spartans trailed 2-1 going into the second intermission.
- Lake Forest scored two goals to begin the third period for a 4-1 advantage. 
- AU quickly responded with an even strength goal of their own as Jake Code sniped one in making it 4-2. Chase Broda and Matt Weber assisted Code at the 5:23 mark in the third period.
- The Foresters knocked in two more goals, one while the Spartans were shorthanded.
- The visitors gave AU a 6-2 loss.
