The Aurora University men's lacrosse team used six second-half goals to defeat Calvin University 7-6 in a defensive battle on Saturday afternoon at Spartan Athletic Park. Spartan

- The first quarter was scoreless with both teams defenses locking down.
- Cavin scored twice in the second and led 2-0 with 5:20 left.
- With 2:11 in the half AU got on the board.
Brody MacDonald scored his 100th career goal to cut the deficit to 2-1.
- AU would trail Calvin 3-1 going to halftime with two of the three goals coming with a man-up.
- The Spartans would tie the score with a pair of goals 13 seconds a part.
Tyler Foerstel and
Owen Spencer tallied the goals.
- Foerstel scored a short time later to give AU a 4-3 lead.
- After Calvin tied the score, Foerstel scored his third of the period to give AU a 5-4 lead going to the fourth.
- Spencer put the Spartans ahead by two goals with 8:33 to go.
- Calvin cut the AU lead back to one but a man-up goal from
Chris Bucci put the Spartans back up two with 6:46 left.
- Calvin cut the lead back to one with 2:42 to play.
- With the Spartans in possession and approaching a minute to play, a Calvin one minute penalty allowed the Spartans to run out most of the clock.
- Calvin would get a final possession with 6.2 seconds left though.
- The AU defense again locked in and did not allow a shot to seal the win.
