The Aurora University softball team swept a NACC doubleheader with Wisconsin Lutheran College on Tuesday afternoon, winning by 6-1 and 8-1 scores.

GAME ONE:
- The Spartans scored three times in the third inning thanks to three Warrior errors.
- Alex Thiel had the lone hit of the inning with a lead-off single.
- WLC scored once in the bottom of the third.
- The Spartans responded in the top of the fourth with two more runs.
- Singles from Alyson Haegele, Aubrey Ortiz and Faith Biggs plated the two AU runs.
- An insurance run was added in the sixth with Tyler Chambers leading off with a walk and scoring on a single from Shelby Linn.
- AU starting pitcher Rylee Campbell locked down the final two innings for the complete game victory.

GAME TWO:
- AU took advantage of the Warrior defense once again in the first inning. Ortiz reached on an error and after stealing third, the throw went wild and she scored.
- In the third, the Spartans manufactured a run with two outs. Chambers walked, stole second and scored on a single from Faith Biggs.
- The Spartans added to the lead in the fourth with a lead-off single from Casey Brennan and after moving around the bases which included a steal of third, Brennan scored on a single from Jordan Seyfried.
- Madison Lung ran for Seyfried and scored on a Thiel double.
- Faith Biggs welcomed the new WLC pitcher in the fifth with a lead-off home run to put AU ahead 5-0.
- The Spartans took advantage once again of Warrior defensive miscues in the sixth. Seyfried singled to start the inning and scored on an Ortiz bunt.
- Two more AU runs were plated in the seventh to give the Spartans an 8-0 lead.
- WLC scored one run in the bottom of the seventh to break up the shutout attempt by AU pitcher Madelyn Buske who picked up the victory.
