The Aurora University baseball team traveled to Bloomington, Illinois for a non-conference neutral site contest with the Gorloks of Webster University. Although being outhit thirteen to 9 in the game, the Spartan offense came up with more than enough runs in the 9-6 victory on Thursday night.
Joe Lukancic led the offensive charge with a 4-for-5 night and four runs scored, while
Derek Angelo got on base in all five of his plate appearances.

- Webster scored the game's first run in the top of the first for a 1-0 lead.Â
- The Spartans answered right back with a run of their own when
Dominick Curcio drew a bases loaded walk, allowing
Joe Lukancic to trot home.
- A three-run home run from Webster in the top of the second gave the Gorloks a 4-1 lead.
- Just like the first inning, AU answered Webster's run total with four of their own in the bottom of the second. It started with a Lukancic hard hit double down the right field line that scored two runs.
- Lukancic came across off a wild pitch on the very next batter to tie the score at four.
- AU took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the fourth when
Logan Riley singled to right and brought Lukancic home.
- Curcio picked up another RBI later in the inning on a sac-fly, making it 6-4 in favor of AU.

Derek Angelo and Lukancic stretched that lead to 8-6 in the sixth when they both came around to score on a Webster error.
- Later in the sixth,
Sean Rivera collected an RBI on a ground out that made it 9-5.
- Webster scored one run in the top of the seventh to trim AU's lead to 9-6.

Joey Pettit finished off the Gorloks with two scoreless innings in the eighth and ninth for the save as AU took the contest 9-6.
