The Aurora University women's soccer team began their 2024 season on Friday evening when they hosted Loras College for a non-conference match up, each side's first game of the season. After a scoreless tie going into the half, the Spartans were unable to keep up with the #13 ranked Duhawks and fell in their season opener 0-0.

- Neither side got a shot on goal until 4:38, which was saved by Melina Cane. 
- The Spartans generated their first scoring chance about halfway through the first half when Madison Hougan put a shot on goal that was saved by Loras goalkeeper.
- Neither side got a shot on goal until end of the half, resulting in a scoreless tie.
- Loras scored the game's first goal about two and a half minutes into the second half off a penalty kick.
- The Duhawks scored two more goals in the 68th and 72nd minute giving AU a 3-0 deficit.
- Loras added one more goal in the 89th minute as the Spartans fell 4-0.
