The Aurora University women's volleyball team opened the Marilyn Schribner Invitational at Wheaton College on Friday afternoon with a resounding 3-0 win over Lawrence University.

- AU used a scoring run midway through the opening set that began with a kill from Erin Henkel and an ace from Lulu Torres.
- The 8-2 put the Spartans ahead 18-12 and they would go on to win 25-20.
- The Spartans took advantage of timely errors from Lawrence to pull away and win 25-21.
- A 13-1 run in the third set pushed the Spartans to victory.
- Three Henkel kills, two aces from Torres and another ace from Hannah Joseph fueled the run.
- AU would go on to win handily, 25-14 and the match 3-0.
