Spartans continue road #NACCtion with win at IIT

The Aurora University women's volleyball team took to the road for a second time in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action on Wednesday night at Illinois Institute of Technology. The Spartans won the NACC battle, winning 3-1 (25-16, 25-15, 29-31, 25-17).

How it happened
- AU got a service ace from Riley Moreno to put them ahead 5-4 in the opening set. The Spartans would not trail again and win 25-16.
- Kate Dillon had a team-high five kills in the first set win.
- After trailing early in the second set, a Kate Dillon kill followed by multiple IIT errors allowed the Spartans to once again pull away and go on to win 25-15.
- AU only had seven kills in the set win, five coming from Dillon while they were aided by 11 IIT attack errors.
- The third set looked to be going the Spartans way as three straight Kate Poellmann kills put AU ahead 23-19.
- Despite having several match point chances in the third set, AU would fall 31-29 and see a fourth set.
- Poellmann had six kills in the third set.
- AU led from the opening point in the fourth set, going on to win 25-17.
- Riley Moreno and Poellmann each had four kills in the set victory.
