The Aurora University men's basketball team shot over 50% from the field highlighted by 16 points each from each from Mekhi Doby and Maxwell Marius to give AU a 96-66 victory over the Eagles of Edgewood College on Wednesday night.

- AU started the contest on a 10-3 scoring run, as four of the five Spartan starters found the basket during this stretch.
- The Spartans extended early lead to 14 points at the 12:25 mark of the first half after Maxwell Marius laid one in.
- Foster Ogbonna started to catch fire for the Spartans offensively midway through the first half. A three from Ogbonna gave AU a 22-10 lead with 11:03 to go until the break.
- Mekhi Doby knocked down a three that extended the Spartan lead to 20 with 6:56 on the clock in the first half.
- Edgewood cut that AU lead to as low 14, before James Glazebrooks knocked down a couple of free throws. 
- AU took a 48-32 lead into the locker room.
- The Spartans shot 50% from the field in the first 20 minutes while knocking down 15 free throws.
- Joevonn McCottry scored five points in the first 1:20 of the second half 53-34 over the Eagles.
- The Spartans followed this with a 9-0 scoring run as Doby scored six points during the run.
- Dwayne Jervier Jr. laid one in at the 12:41 mark of the second half that saw AU's lead reach 30.
- With 6:49 left on the clock, Isaiah Davis buried a couple of three's on back-to-back AU possessions as the Spartans gave Edgewood an 80-48 deficit.
- AU coasted to the 96-66 victory on Wednesday night.
- The Spartans shot a scorching 55% from the field in the second half while going 8-17 from beyond the arc.
