Cold Shooting Sends Spartans To Loss Against Warriors

The Aurora University women's basketball team was back in action on Saturday afternoon, this time on the road against Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Spartans fell in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match up by a score of 57-47.

How it happened
- Riley Doggett drained a three pointer about halfway through the first quarter, scoring five early points for the Spartans. This tied the score at 9.
- AU trailed the Warriors 13-12 after one quarter of play.
- Despite being down by one, the Spartan defense forced WLC into shooting just 29% from the field in the first quarter.
- A 10-0 scoring run in second for the Warriors gave AU a 26-19 deficit with under a minute left in the first half.
- Kamryn Bullock nailed a three in the Spartans final possession of the first half. This cut the WLC lead to 28-22.
- The Warriors started the second half on a 7-0 run.
- AU responded with a 10-2 run of their own, cutting the WLC lead to 37-32 about halfway through the third quarter.
- Eliot Dojutrek netted four points during the scoring run.
- After a Warriors 6-0 run, the Spartans came back with yet another 10-2 scoring run nearing the end of the third.
- After a back-and-forth frame, AU 47-42 going into the final quarter of play.
- WLC outscored the Spartans 10-5 in the fourth.
